Hannah Phipps | Director of Operations
Hannah is coming back to ICI for her third year. She is from Fort Collins, Colorado and is pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics at St. Olaf College. Hannah has performed with Opera Fort Collins, St. Olaf Lyric Theatre, and as a vocal soloist with the St. Olaf Philharmonia. She received 1st place at the Minnesota National Association of Singers competition in 2018. Although she remains an active cellist, Hannah plans to pursue a career in opera.
Kaitlyn Clawson | Cello ICI Intern
A native of Salem, Oregon, Kaitlyn is coming to ICI for her first year as an intern. She is a rising senior at St. Olaf College working towards a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance with a Collaborative Keyboard Emphasis. Kaitlyn also plays flute with the St. Olaf Band and the St. Olaf Orchestra, and has an interest in arts administration and music education. In her free time, Kaitlyn enjoys reading, dancing, traveling, and spending time outdoors.
Annie Koppes | ICI Office Intern
Annie is a student in the Music Education program at Colorado State University. She has a diverse skill set, and a great interest in Musicology, she plans to pursue a PhD in this field. A cellist, working towards a certificate in Violoncello Pedagogy under the direction of Professor Barbara Thiem, she is currently playing with the CSU Symphony Orchestra and Opera Orchestra. Annie is also involved with the CSU Middle School Outreach Ensemble, acting as cello section coach and helping to administrate this program. She has experience working as director of a subcommittee for the CSU Chapter of ASTA and is a member of NAFME.
Lindsay Schlemmer I Media and Marketing
Lindsay has been helping us with marketing our CELLOici Recital Series for the last couple of years. She completed her Doctorate of Musical Arts in Cello Performance in 2018 and was a Berneking Fellow at the University of Minnesota where she studied under the guidance of Tanya Remenikova. Executive Director and Cello Faculty for the Saint Mary’s University String Festival, she teaches at Saint John’s University/ College of St. Benedict and the University of Minnesota Morris.
Maya Dimitroff | Counselor
Maya has recently graduated with Bachelor’s Degrees in both Cello Performance and English Writing from the University of Nevada, Reno. She has studied with Dr. Dmitri Atapine since the age of twelve and also has played with the Reno Philharmonic Youth Orchestras, Reno Pops Orchestra, University of Nevada, Reno Symphony Orchestra, and Toccata Symphony. She has performed the Vivaldi Double Concerto with the University of Nevada Symphony Orchestra, and the Reno Pops Orchestra, with her husband Guillermo Teniente. After counseling for ICI last year, Maya is coming back to us for a third year this summer.
Guillermo Teniente | Counselor
Guillermo (Willie) is currently the Associate Orchestra Director of Atascocita High School in Humble Independent School District. He recently graduated with a cello performance degree under the tutelage of Dmitri Atapine at the University of Nevada in Reno. He was cellist of the quartet in residence, the “Nightingale Quartet” and part of the Orchestral Studies Career Program under the direction of Stephanie Sant’Ambrogio. Previously, Guillermo earned a Master’s degree from the University of Tennessee and before that his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from West Texas A&M in Canyon Texas. He joins ICI this summer for a second year.
