GENERAL AUDITION GUIDELINES

  • Applicants are required to submit videos recorded within the last twelve months.

  • Audition videos must clearly display the hands and face of the applicant during the performance, and be taken from a single-camera perspective.

  • We strongly encourage all applicants to record using a microphone.

  • Separate takes for each video are allowed, however, no video or audio edits of the performance are permitted.

  • We do not require prospective students to audition with a collaborative pianist.

  • Videos may be submitted as links to YouTube (unlisted/public) and Google Drive. Be sure your audition videos are titled with your name, piece, and movement played. All links should be working, easily accessible, and not require a password or signing necessary.

  • If you wish to upload supplemental materials that do not meet the conditions above but showcase other aspects of your playing or musicianship, feel free to add the links to the application in the “supplemental materials” field. If you have any other questions, please contact us at: internationalcelloinstitute@gmail.com

CANCELLATION POLICY

ICI reserves the right to make any necessary adjustments up to full cancellation, in the case of unforeseen circumstances.

”Unforeseen circumstances” is terminology used to describe an event that prevents ICI from proceeding with programming in traditional fashion. Examples of such circumstances can include, but are not limited to, site unavailability, health and safety risks, and technology issues.

In the event that a student decides not attend the ICI program, cancellations after May 1, will not be considered for any refund amount.
