Kimberly Patterson

Hailed by the Chicago Sun Times as a “superb cellist,” Dr. Kimberly Patterson has earned recognition for her artistry as a solo, chamber, and orchestral musician. Dr. Patterson has won prizes at the Fischoff Chamber Music Competition, London International Quartet Competition and Bordeaux International Quartet Competition. She has given recitals in Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, London’s Wigmore Hall and Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center. She is the cellist of the Patterson Sutton Guitar Duo, drawing critical acclaim from BBC Music Magazine, and also concertizing as Juilliard Global Artists.

Dr. Patterson is the Associate Professor of Cello at the Scheidt School of Music at the University of Memphis. She holds degrees from the Juilliard School, Cleveland Institute of Music, and University of Colorado at Boulder. She is a Larsen Strings artist.
