Jee-Won Oh
Born in Seoul, Korea, JEE-WON OH has performed internationally as a soloist and chamber musician, appearing in Austria, France, Germany, Switzerland, throughout the Far East, South America, and across the United States. Her concert engagements have taken her to major musical centers around the world, including solo and chamber music performances at the Salle Gaveau in Paris, the Schleswig-Holstein Festival, Kronberg Academy, the Salzburg Mozarteum, de Doelen in Rotterdam, Belgrade Philharmonic Hall, Sala Cecília Meireles in Rio de Janeiro, the Seoul Arts Center, and Kumho Art Hall in Seoul.
In the United States, Oh has appeared on Lincoln Center’s Great Performers Series, Ravinia’s Rising Stars Series, and at the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society, Merkin Hall, Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, Bargemusic, the National Gallery of Art, and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. She has also performed in Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, New York, Philadelphia, Salt Lake City, San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose, St. Paul, and Washington, D.C. Oh has appeared at numerous music festivals, including Ernen Musikdorf in Switzerland, the San Luis Obispo Mozart Festival, the Park City International Music Festival, the Sitka Music Festival, and the Mammoth Lakes Music Festival.

Oh collaborated extensively with cellist Mark Kosower, appearing in concert with him throughout the world. Together they recorded works by Richard Strauss, Max Reger, and Eberhard Klemmstein for the Ambitus label. She can also be heard on two Naxos recordings, including the complete works for cello and piano by Alberto Ginastera and an album of Hungarian music.
Oh was the studio pianist and assistant to the renowned cellist János Starker for five years and served as an Associate Instructor of Piano at Indiana University. She earned her master’s degree in piano performance from Indiana University, where she studied with György Sebők and Shigeo Neriki. She received her bachelor’s degree from Hanyang University in Seoul, where she was awarded a Young Chang Piano Foundation Scholarship.
